Hi friends and family of our mom, Julie Karst. On Tuesday, January 17, mom was taken by ambulance to the hospital after experiencing what appeared as a stroke. She remains in the hospital undergoing many tests including MRI, CT Scans and EEG along with blood and other neurological tests. She is unable to talk other than a word here and there and is having difficulty understanding or answering questions about the day, where she is, etc. There are really no answers yet but we are well aware that the road ahead to recovery will be slow. If you know our mom, she is the most kind and caring person. She has done so much for not only us, but was a "bonus" mom to all our friends growing up. Mom has two beautiful grandchildren that are her pride and joy. She remains the best of friends with people she grew up with in Minnesota, volleyball players and their families, and will go above and beyond to help anyone whose path she has crossed.

Today we are asking for help to curb the costs that lie ahead. Please know that if this is not possible for you, we simply ask you to keep mom and our family in your prayers.
