Julie Hetland’s support page
It is with a very heavy heart to inform you that my sister, Julie was recently diagnosed with
Stage 4 colon cancer.
Julie is 51 years young, and not only is she the
greatest sister and daughter, she’s also a
beloved wife and a wonderful mother of 2
precious kids.
On September 1, Julie went in for an MRI, a
CT scan and some bloodwork.
On September 3, she and her husband, Jason met with the surgeon to go over her results.
Everyone was shocked, including the doctor to find out that she has Stage 4 colon cancer.
Sadly, it has spread to her lymph nodes and to her liver. Apparently, there is so much of it
in the liver that surgery is not an option.
Julie has just recently started chemotherapy
and at some point may begin radiation
treatment.
No one likes asking for help, but right now her family is needing some assistance as the bills
are rushing in and piling up.
I know I’m not alone when I say no one should have to worry about finances during this
battle. Chemo is hard enough.
Right now, Julie needs to focus on her health, her fight and her recovery.
If you are able, any assistance you can provide during this difficult time is so greatly
appreciated.
This news has been devastating
for our family but Julie is a fighter and so even the smallest monetary donation helps.
If you find yourself unable to donate, then we ask that you pray. Pray. Pray. Pray!
Pray from the depth of your heart and soul
that Julie fights and wins this battle. She
believes in the power of prayer, and so do we.
We believe in God, and his Son, Jesus Christ.
And we know and believe that God offers
miracles on this Earth all the time.
Our family thanks you in advance for helping, and for taking the time to read about my
sisters battle.
Please continue to keep Julie in your thoughts and prayers as she begins the fight of her life.
God bless, and Godspeed,
Joel, and the entire Stiras family
