Julie Guzman's Healthy Recovery

Donation protected
To my family and friends.

I am reaching out to everyone who dearly loves my mother, Julie Guzman. So many people have been blessed to know her. To be a friend to her. To be family to her, even if there is no relation. To be supported by her. To be nurtured by her. To be fed by her. To be cared for by her. To be hugged by her. To be loved by her. My mom is a caring and supportive wife of over 40 years to my dad, Joe Guzman. She’s an affectionate mother to me. She’s a gentle grandmother to her precious Ella. Julie is a loving mother-in-law, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, godmother, friend, and so much more.

Knowing all the beauty of my mom, inside and out, has made it impossible to understand why she has been pushed into the most difficult time of her life. It’s hard to share this, but her immediate family wants her loved ones to know what she is going through and to ask for your positive thoughts, prayers, love and support. My mom was diagnosed last week with brain cancer and underwent emergency surgery Friday evening (January 13, 2023). She has made phenomenal strides toward recovery in just a few days since surgery, but unfortunately, that is just the beginning. The aggressive nature of this cancer makes it challenging to treat. Although this is devasting, our family remains focused and committed to helping my mom with her recovery and her health.

To let our family focus on my mom and relieve some of the financial stress this will cause, we have set up this gofundme. Medical expenses can be overwhelming to think about when faced with such a difficult journey ahead. If you feel inclined to support, please consider donating. We do not know how long her recovery journey will take and where it will lead her but we remain positive and hopeful. Donations will help cover medical expenses not covered by insurance, supplemental expenses (such as travel, temporary lodging, etc.) and supporting expenses that will come along with her recovery.

My mom has been in the care of a wonderful group of Doctors, Nurses, and Neurological Specialists in Spokane, Washington at the Sacred Heart Hospital. The family cannot thank them enough for their support and tender care for her. Please keep my mom in your prayers as she fights the battle of her life.

All the Love, the Guzman’s
