Julie's Final Arrangements
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Stephanie Hancock, and I am trying to help my friend/co-worker beat cancer. I have known Julie for seven years, and during that time, she has always been the most outstanding woman. She is always thinking of others and what she can do to help them in any way she can. We may have started as co-workers, but like my others at Sky Ortho, we have all become much closer, just like family. I can not express how taken back we all were when she received her breast cancer diagnosis. I know this is where she would want me to make a point to tell you all to get screened and listen to your bodies.
Julie is the mother of two beautiful girls, Jordan and Jayden. She is such a great mother; she insists the girls continue on and not put their lives on hold. This situation has been especially hard on the girls. Even though their mom is going through this challenging journey, their lives must continue. Her husband, Seth, owns his own Performance Horse business. However, it heavily relies on family members, including Julie, to help. Unfortunately, Julie is no longer able to help with the labor-intensive work. In addition to doing all the work himself, Seth has to split his time to care for his wife of 19 years (20 years in December).
Julies' cancer is a very particular strain. The doctors refer to it as Triple-X Negative Inflammatory Breast Cancer; this means it is rare, very aggressive, harder to treat, and more likely to come back. She has already had a few setbacks with her treatment and has to change her treatment approach. Due to the rarity of her cancer, she has to make regular trips down to Houston, Texas, to the MD Anderson Cancer Center. These trips are taking a toll on her and her wallet. We are hoping she will be able to find a treatment that will work and SOON!
Please help us raise funds to help pay for her medical bills and other expenses. Her current Chemo has her off work for about a week and a half due to nausea and vomiting; therefore, she cannot come to work. Here at Sky Ortho, we have all offered ways to help in any way we can. We hope you understand how special Julie is and are willing to contribute to this wonderful family. Whether you can assist financially or not, prayers and support are welcome and encouraged. Thank you all for your time to read about our friend, and please keep her in your prayers.
