In May of 2025, my mom Julie Crossen was diagnosed with stage 2b triple negative breast cancer, and since then, has been undergoing chemotherapy with the hopes to treat it. So far, she has completed 13 treatments while continuing her job as a speech language pathologist at a pediatric clinic. She is currently in the "red devil" chemo cycle, and two weeks ago she was hospitalized due to her compromised immune system. She has since been discharged, but will unfortunately no longer be able to work until chemo and subsequent surgery is completed, hopefully by the end of December 2025.

As a single mother, my mom worked tirelessly to support my sister and I. When we were growing up, she had multiple jobs and worked grueling hours in order to keep food in the house and support our academic and extracurricular pursuits. With your help, I am now hoping to take care of her during her time of need.

With this Gofundme, I am humbly reaching out to our friends, family, and anyone else who has the means to help my mom cover her medical bills and monthly expenses in her time of need. It feels quite strange--and even a little uncomfortable--to ask for your support, but I would not be making this if it wasn't extremely urgent. Even my mom was hesitant when I first brought the idea up to her. However, she has reached the point where it is no longer feasible to support herself due to her inability to work, and cancer treatment costs are extremely expensive. With that being said, any donation my mom receives can be life-saving, and she would be eternally grateful for your help. Thank you so much.
