Funeral Expenses for Julie Michels

On Wednesday, March 23rd, my mom woke up in Heaven❤️. Cancer might have taken my mom’s life, but the impact she’s left on our community will never be forgotten. All proceeds will be going towards funeral expenses in Hawaii, where she will be buried with her family. Thank you for your support.

Julie is currently fighting stage 4 metastatic non-small cell lung cancer, one that spreads to other parts of the body. She has been battling this since August 2018.

- 81 radiations

- 3 chemotherapies

- 2 surgeries

She has been battling cancer and BEATING IT AGAINST ALL ODDS. She is the strongest person I know. She will beat this!

This cancer occurs when there is a genetic mutation, primarily in people who do not smoke. She has undergone chemoradiotherapy and SABR when it spread to her lymph node. She has gone through five Cyberknife treatments to her three brain metastases. After that, my momma was cancer-free for two years. Unfortunately, her lung cancer recently came back as two metastases in her liver and one in her adrenal gland.

My mom is currently admitted in the hospital due to complications from her Y90 Procedure- a treatment that targets tumors with a high dose of radiation without affecting other healthy parts of the body. It was a very aggressive treatment and has been taxing on her liver.

The funds collected through this platform are dedicated to medical and other related bills that will help my mom get through these costs while she undergoes treatment.
