Julie Grgurevic is most known as an amazing Audiologist, a beautiful mother of two, and a dear friend. Julie received the heartbreaking diagnosis of one of the worst-case, worst-prognosis cancers, Glioblastoma (or grade IV brain cancer) last March. During the summer she was doing well and the tumor was shrinking. In November treatment stopped working and the tumor was growing. A recent MRI showed even more growth. There are no other treatments available for her at this time in the US. However, there is a new gene-based vaccine treatment in Germany. Dr. Saskia Biskup's first attempted this treatment in 2013 and has been tried on 102 patients, 97 of whom are in remission or cancer free. Many of these patients started with a < 6-month survival prognosis among the worst types of cancers including brain. Despite it all, she remains hopeful and determined.
