Donation protected

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 22, 2023
The bench and placard are installed. We are so appreciative of the City of Evanston for installing this so quickly. Thank you all for helping raise the funds to make this a reality. The bench is on the north side (Main Street entrance) of Clark Square along Lake Michigan.
UPDATE SEPTEMBER 20, 2023
The City of Evanston has installed the Julie and Jake Wons memorial bench. Mike picked a great location in a sunny spot on the north end of the Clark Square Park promenade. The memorial inscription plaque will be installed soon.
Thank you all for donating.

UPDATE
It has been an incredible showing of what Julie meant to her family, friends, and community. We are already close to our goal for her bench but people have asked if they could do more so we wanted to let you know any money raised in excess will go to Mike and Liam for upcoming family needs.
A group of Julie Wons' friends would like to help honor her life and her son Jake by purchasing a memorial bench to be placed on the Clark Square Park promenade. November 4th is the one year anniversary of her passing.
We often think of Julie while on lakefront jogs and walks as we always seemed to run into her. This will be a nice place for us to be reminded of her. Mike agrees.
The City of Evanston bench memorial program has been expanded to include Clark Square Park. Mike will draft the appropriate messaging for the memorial plaque that will be installed on the bench.
We feel this is a great location for Mike, Liam, Sue and all of Julie’s friends and family (and the wider Evanston community) to serve as a reminder of their lives and presence in our hearts and thoughts.
