Hey Julia's Fam! The studio is in need of some new dance flooring to improve the safety and quality of our student's dancing. For over 10 years Julia's Dance Academy has been a place for students of all kinds of dance to indulge in their dancing passions, and as a gift to the studio and its compassionate leader and teacher Ms. Yulia, we are looking to raise $5000 for the installation of a new marley dance floor.
The current state of our floors is very sad...it is deteriorating rapidly, and parts of the floor are even chipping off. Our floor is literally falling apart.

The floors that dancers utilize are so important because dancers need the appropriate shock and tread in order to safely turn and jump without injury. Our current flooring does not adequately absorb shock, and in fact it can and has effected our dancers' ability to use correct form, which can lead to injury.
The marley flooring we plan to install is made of vinyl, cushioned material, that has been proven to reduce injury and provide a safe platform to enhance technique, whether it is in jazz, ballet, tap, pointe work or modern dance. Check it out!

For those of you interested in the science and research behind proper dance floor installation for dance studios, this article will help illuminate the many benefits for dancers of all kinds.
Our dancers will find these jumps much easier once the new flooring is installed. It means they will be able to jump higher, with less shock to their joints. They can't wait!

The $5000 will be used for a roll of marley vinyl flooring and other installation materials which we will place over our existing floor in the white room. This new flooring will greatly improve the safety and technique of our dancers.
Our goal is to raise this money by June 30th (or ideally before)!
If each family could donate as little as $10 to the fundraiser we would be well on our way to our goal! We'd love to have it installed in time for our summer dance activities, prior to our fall 2018 semester!
We look forward to improving our wonderful studio and hope we can all work together to meet our goals!
Thank you!
