Julia's war on Lymphoma

Hello, my name is Rob Hall and Julia is my wife. She is an amazing wife and mother to our young children. Although she takes care of herself and is young, cancer doesn't care. She is very strong and healthy, but the process has been draining and it's becoming very real that it will be financially difficult. I was planning to be with her every step of the way but even being self-employed has its limitations. We have to travel for treatment and testing which will incur costs to lost wages, food, travel and room stays during the treatment weeks. Not to mention the unknown expenses of the treatment itself. We have great support from friends and family, but kids' school and life must go on. At home we have a 15-year-old daughter trying to figure out her own life path with this on her mind, and a 6-year-old boy that just knows his mommy is sick and will be back home soon. Both kids are staying strong and positive. The main goal is to win this fight against cancer while maintaining normal as best as we can.

Julia's report:

Final diagnosis is Primary Mediastinal B Cell Lymphoma.

Treatment is going to be an intense aggressive chemotherapy. I will have to do 5 straight days of chemo every 3 weeks for at least about 5 months. This also includes daily medications, multiple blood draws per week, constant monitoring of blood counts and platelets and potential fevers and infections, potential infusions, etc. I started the first treatment here in Ann Arbor on October 13th, and the rest I will get a referral to the hospital in Petoskey. Because of the strict treatment plan, those 5 days of treatment I will have to stay in Petoskey for the duration of the treatment. The doctors were optimistic about this diagnosis as research shows it responds well to this treatment plan, and the potential for a cure is high.
