Julia’s HIPEC surgery

Hi friends! This year has been a whirlwind for my family. March of this year my mom was diagnosed with cancer, more specifically...signet ring cell adenocarconoma of the appendix. This cancer is extremely rare and aggressive, about 1 in 1000 cancer patients are diagnosed each year. She underwent a huge surgery March 14 which consisted of “debulking” removing most of the cancer, however there was still some in her mesentary and small intestine that was inoperable. She has since gone through 12 chemo sessions and she has been doing a phenomenal job!We have currently been speaking with many different surgeons about what our next step is, the HIPEC (hyperthermic introperitonial  chemo therapy) procedure. This procedure is an extensive surgery that will lead to my mom being in ICU for two weeks while being intubated for three days post surgery with a six month recovery time. She will be scheduled the second week of December. 
This surgery will take place in Northern California and as some of you know, we currently reside in Orange County. 
I guess I’m asking for prayers, lots and lots of prayers for my family and for my mom to fight through this major surgery. And  as much as I hate asking, I’d also like to ask for small donations, that will go towards my mom’s surgery and post medical care.
