Julia’s gonna kick cancers ass fund!

Hi, my name is Derrick and I’m fundraising on behalf of my friend Julia. In early September 2023 she was admitted to the hospital due to being jaundice. After a good number of tests it was discovered that she has stage 2 pancreatic cancer. Thankfully where the mass is growing it closed off the connection to her stomach, which caused the jaundice and led to the discovery of the cancer.

We all know her, the fight is on!

Julia is a woman who has fought hard her entire life. She has struggled, persevered, and overcome so many obstacles in her short 39 years. This cancer will be no different for her. As she’s fighting this, she is still a single mother of two amazing children. (Jana and Dylan)

A little in-site into the life of Julia. She is a lover of the small things and the long con. Every week she has her kids they sit down at night and have a talk about the weeks “sweet treat”. Which I have to say, hearing Dylan say sweet treat is a joy in itself! But they sit down and talk about the big desert they’re going to make for the week. As the week goes on, Julia will make small comments such as “so I’m going to the store today.” Here’s the long con… if the kids don’t pick up on it, she won’t finish telling them. She will simply just surprise them. BUT if they catch it (which they are so good at now!) they get the small excitement of knowing one more piece is at home. Just waiting for Saturday night!!

Now for the baby daddies side of things. Not many people know this but Julia and I were great friends before we got married and had kids. Obviously that didn’t work. But I can truly from the bottom of my heart say, she is one of my best friends now. Over the last two years in our own ways we have found Jesus and have since been mending bridges to show our children a healthy friendship between Julia and myself. Having your ex wife and current wife become friends is oddly peaceful and I’m grateful for the healing between Julia and myself. My wife and I will be helping her through this along with her amazing mom and sisters!! 4 strong, amazing and uplifting women that won’t let her stop.

Now the hard part. Being a kick A mom is hard! Being a kick A mom while beating cancer is expensive. On behalf of Julia, our children and myself, we are asking for donations to help her pay for her treatments/hospital bills.
