Julia, age 15 who just started her sophomore year in High School, was recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Ewing Sarcoma. She will be going through a plethora of medical treatments and it will be costly. Every bit helps. Please consider donating so that we can ease the financial burden and they can focus on their family and not finances.
If you would like to also help with food which is also a big help, you can sign up here: please note that the family is vegetarian. https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/k5o2rz
Story:
When I took Julia to urgent care on Monday night we never would have expected that we would be rushed to the ER…..then the nightmare began. Drs rushing in and out, lots of information, then being told that she has a mass but they don’t know what it is. A couple hours later being told that she has a tumor and they’re sending us to the oncology floor for it to be tested for cancer. They put Julia under anesthesia for a biopsy to get more answers. Lots of pokes, bloodwork, scans, tests, Drs, nurses, everything.
It was confirmed when the team came in and told us that our 15 year old sweet, loving, beautiful baby has an aggressive form of cancer called Ewing Sarcoma.
Julia will have surgery on Friday 8/13/21 to place a port and test her bone marrow to see if it has gone into her bone. She will start chemotherapy that day too. The whole process will be about 9 months. She will be sick, she will lose her beautiful hair, this will be a terrible process.
*initial surgery is now rescheduled for 8/17
Please pray that it hasn’t gone into her bone! Please pray hard that our sweet girl WILL beat this!!
Thank you all for your outpouring of love and support. We need you more than ever. Please pray, pray hard. Love on your kids. Play with them, take them places, give them hugs and kisses and TELL THEM HOW MUCH YOU LOVE THEM because you never know when your life could be turned upside down.
