I am trying to raise funds for my upcoming phalloplasty surgery. This prodedure without insurance is roughly $100,000. I do have insurance coverage at work, but still need to raise a significant amount not covered by insurance. I've been working a tremendous amount of overtime and doing whatever I can to raise the funds, but it is simply not enough.

For me, just for me, my body isn't complete without this procedure. As a young child I believed one day I'd wake up and it would be fixed but shortly realized this would never happen. The lack of harmony between my body and mind became a lifetime struggle without resolution. It's difficult to convey how this feels, however it has affected my intimate relationships and became a catalyst for self-destructive behaviors.

Through getting sober and by transitioning, I've resolved many of my gender issues and have been able to be of service to my community. However, this issue has not been fully resolved and even in writing this, it has evoked a lot of emotion. 

As a kid, there seemed to be no solution, but today, there is a ray of hope. Any assistance in making this dream a reality would be deeply appreciated.
