Julian’s medical and recovery bills

Spende geschützt
Howdy everyone! I’m creating this fundraiser for a friend and his family to help with any medical or private family expenses they may need to help. His name is Julian Ortega, he’s a local from Lincoln, California. A great man to have around you, helps make you laugh, calmest and one of the humblest men I’ve met. He’s out going and very supportive of the people around him and was always a helping hand for people. Unfortunately, Tuesday night 6/27/23 leading into early morning/ or night of 6/28/23. Julian was cruising withs group of buddies, the group rode from the home town all the way down to Old Sacramento town to have a calm cruise. We talked about how peaceful it was to be riding in the group at night to have a chill and slow ride. That bike was the closest thing he had to peace and he enjoyed every moment he had on that bike. Everything changed at approximately 1am Wednesday 6/28. As we joked around and had our laughs we decided it was time to go back home from old sac town. Julian and another buddy of ours were riding in a duo pair back home. Julian was riding with our friend in the group on the highway. Julian and our friend was coming in the approach of a freeway exit in the Sacramento area that they did not intend to get off at. Julian was riding casually and started to catch a speed wobble and lost control of his bike. Julian lost control of his bike and veered off onto the exit causing him to slam in the back of another vehicle from the rear and of it, but Julian still took it head on. Julian is currently (as I write this) at the UC Davis Medical center being treated and reviewed over by doctors, he has under gone surgery and is continuing more surgery’s for the rest of his body. Julian is suffering many many broken bones, a major concussion, cuts and something that may never even leave him, which would be PTSD of the incident. We are SO thankful that our brother is alive, we’re grateful that we are able to wake up knowing that the young man we hold to our hearts is still able to breathe, we are grateful that we’re still able to see him and see the smile and laugh we hold close to us as his friends. Julian is a Biker like a lot of us from the Sacramento area, he rode with me (the person writing this) and a few of our other friends before I started riding with them. Julian rode a ZX6R Ninja 600, that bike was the thing that gave him a spirit, something that would calm his nerves and let him relax when he needed it the most. He would go on calm cruises with us, hang out, talk with the boys, screw around, and all together just have a laugh. He’s a great person and a great young man to have around you always bringing a good vibe to the area he was in. He isn’t a chaotic or a hateful person, he was very quite the opposite. Anyone who has been around or in Julian’s circle knows he welcomes anyone with open arms, he doesn’t care who you were as long as you didn’t bring negativity towards him and was a great spirit all around. We are asking for donations to help his family with any medical bills or personal bills they may need to pay from the days after the accident. All the proceeds will be going ONLY to Julian Ortega’s family. This will fund nothing but medical bills and the bills for the family. This will NOT go to a new bike, riding equipment, or anything fundamental. This is STRICTLY for the support of his mother and father who have to go through this struggling time with their son. This is greatly appreciated by the Ortega’s and the community who is gathering around the family in the time of need. Any donation will be great and appreciated. We are thankful and grateful for ANYONE who may help us in this time of need. I thank you for taking the time to read this prompt I’ve written for Julians incident. He is going to get through this and the circle around him will help him recover like no other. The photo above I have used was a photo of him on his peace hours prior before the accident. I thank you all for all of your time, not only from me but the Ortega family as well. Thank you!

***UPDATE FROM JULIANS FATHER***
“We would like to thank all of you who have donated, called, visited, prayed for us, or offered support in any other way. We really appreciate you all. Julian has a long recovery ahead of him but is slowly showing progress. He has been transferred to Kaiser’s Trauma Center in Vacaville. Here, he will continue his PT and have two additional surgeries. “
