On January 21st, our lives changed in an instant.

My 23-year-old son, Julian — my sweet, kind-hearted boy — suffered a sudden seizure out of nowhere. Just hours earlier, we thought he was perfectly healthy. Then suddenly he was being rushed to the hospital.

I don’t even live in the same state, so when I got the call, I dropped everything and rushed to be by his side. No parent ever wants to make that drive or get that phone call, but nothing was going to keep me from my son.

After being transferred to another hospital out of state and going through countless tests, we heard the words no mother is ever prepared for: Julian has a brain tumor and two cysts that require surgery and treatment.

My heart shattered.

Julian had just started a new job and doesn’t have insurance yet. He’s also a newlywed, married to the love of his life. They met in high school and built a beautiful relationship that led to marriage, and they were just beginning this exciting new chapter together. Instead of enjoying married life and planning their future, they’re now facing surgeries, hospital stays, and overwhelming medical bills.

And true to who he is, Julian isn’t even focused on himself — he keeps worrying about how he’s going to afford everything and not be a burden to anyone. That’s just the kind of heart he has. He has always put others first.

If you know Julian, you know how special he truly is. He has the gentlest soul and the biggest heart. He’s always been someone people gravitate toward. I’ve even had his teachers cry at the end of the school year because they didn’t want to say goodbye to him. He leaves that kind of mark on people. He would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation.

Seeing someone so good, so young, and just starting his life face something this scary feels incredibly unfair. But we are holding onto our faith and taking things one day at a time.

Right now, we’re asking for help so Julian can focus on healing instead of financial stress. Any donation — big or small — will go toward his surgery, hospital bills, treatment, and living expenses while he’s unable to work during recovery.

If you’re unable to donate, prayers and sharing his story mean more than you know.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for loving and supporting my son and our family during this time.

God Bless,
Melody
