Juliana Cottrell: Celebration of Life

Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Deanna.
Our daughter was diagnosed with Trisomy 18 (Edward's Syndrome). She was basically given a death sentence at 12 weeks old. Background information: Edward's Syndrome is a rare but fatal Syndrome that causes your baby to have a lot of various defects with the body, brain and organs. You have a 50/50 chance of your baby even making it to birth before a fetal demise (death), and of that 50%, that gets cut in half again for your baby to be born alive.
You're supposed to be happy and thinking of all the fun things you're going to do with your kids, watch them grow, remanice when you're older at all the silly and amazing things they did, the cute little outfits and their firsts. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Juliana was born August 13, 2025 and went back to Heaven September 8, 2025. This has been a nightmare and the hardest thing we've ever had to deal with. No one ever wants to experience their child's death or plan a funeral service for their baby. She may have been here a short time but she brought a lot of love and left a huge impact. We were given a little bear with a recording of her heartbeat from the hospital, so she'll always be with us, no matter what. She was born 5lb 7.3oz and her final weight was 4lb 9oz. She was a fighter and shocked everybody by how strong she was and held on. She was on a Cpap and feeding tube, had holes in her heart and under developed lungs and still fought and came back from oxgyen levels as low as 10%. A couple doctors and nurses said they've never seen someone, especially a baby recover from all of her oxgyen drops and brady's (heart rate dropping). She was sweet, pure, could capture your heart from one little glance and loved her cuddles. The final hours, she grabbed my finger and squeezed every time I moved my hand, as if she was telling me she loved me and giving me a hug. We are so happy and feel so blessed to have gotten the time we did with her, got to show her some love and she proved how strong she was. Once she was back in God's arms, she did finally look peaceful.
Any donations are thanked more than we could ever express or put into words.
We want to have a celebration of life, in honor of her, her soul and life here on Earth and in Heaven.
Thank you, God bless.
