A sad ending to a difficult two years. We lost Julian last night at 6:45 pm. He is with family and friends who have gone before us and is no longer in pain. Please say a prayer for him and thank you all for supporting him and his wife.
Hi everyone. We are fundraising for Julian Gonzales and his wife Dawn. Julian went into the hospital the evening before Thanksgiving following a biopsy the day before. Minor pain and bleeding soon spiraled into major pain and bleeding and kidney failure. The result was heavy sedation and a ventilator. Julian is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and had his booster shot just days before his procedure. In other words, this is NOT COVID-related. He has been in this state for several days now. He is finally beginning to stabilize but we do not know what his condition will be assuming he makes it through and comes home. Julian has been the world’s coolest bartender for his entire adult life but may very well never be able to return to the job he loves and does so well. At the very least, he will be recuperating at home for quite some time. Money will be very tight for quite a while, as you can imagine. As a representative from his family, we are doing all we can to support them emotionally and financially. We are reaching out to his friends, extended family, and the professional field of food and beverage service that he has loved so much to help carry them through this stressful time.
