Help with Julia Medina’s Healing Journey
Donation protected
Hello Friends, Family and Global Neighbors,
Today I am reaching out to help a very dear friend who is like a little sister to me, Julia Medina. On the evening of August 6, Julia was tragically hit by a fast-moving car while walking across the street on her way to meet her mother. The horrific accident nearly cost Julia her life. Julia was rushed to the hospital intensive care unit where she was in a coma with a traumatic brain injury, fractured skull, fractured spine, and damage to her hearing, vision, arm and much more! Through the many prayers and God's Grace, Julia miraculously survived, but she has a long road ahead of her. She will need months or years of medical treatments, pending surgeries, therapies, and round-the-clock medical supervision. At only 22 years old, Julia is just starting her young life. Her condition is extremely serious, but with the right care, right away, she has great potential to heal from her many injuries.
But the cost of Julia’s care will be astronomical, far more than what medical insurance or the driver’s very small auto policy will cover. That’s why we friends of Julia have set up this GoFundMe Page, so that Julia can get the care and support she needs to recover from this devastation. Your donations will go towards covering the many therapies, specialists, 24-hour caregivers and other medical expenses, providing some financial relief so that Julia can regain her health and her life. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make an extraordinary difference.
Julia is a lifelong Beverly resident and St. Barnabas Parishioner. Everyone who knows Julia knows that she is a genuine, sweet, kind, and caring person that always helps others and volunteers to help make a difference every chance she can. Since the recent passing of her beloved father, Julia also has done her best to offer support to others confronting grief and loss, and to be a source of strength and comfort for her bereaved mother. Julia is a graduate of Whitney M. Young High School and was attending Loras College in Iowa. Also, she was recently working on movies and national television commercials that gave her film industry experience to jumpstart her career. Throughout, she has been recognized for her tenacious work and dedication.
Julia is in good spirits despite the pain and trauma she is enduring on her long road to recovery. She and the Medina family are grateful for all the prayers and concern, and your support and generosity are deeply appreciated. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant impact. Please consider donating today and Share this page to help us reach our goal – and help our Julia return to her life!
