Julia Coulthard's Care

In the Fall of 2016, Julia's failing health precipitated a Medical withdraw from College.  She is at home in our care. Unfortunately,  it took three long years and 4 surgeries to get an accurate diagnosis of her condition. She suffers from a basket of conditions associated with an inherited genetic condition which is called Hereditary Alpha Tryptasem Syndrome.  Her symptoms include a connective tissue disorder called Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos syndrome. This creates tremendous joint and muscle pain from the multiple painful subluxations and dislocations of her joints.  Additionally, she suffers from noncausal allergic reactions. These range in severity from mild to severe anaphylaxis requiring epinephrine and a visit to the ER.  She also suffers from improper regulation of the body's autonomic system (heart rate, pulse, etc.).  

As parents, we want nothing more than to have our daughter realize her full potential in her life. We are blessed by our daughter and her presence in our house.  We have a great network of generous family and friends. I am a teacher and have blessed to be able to care for a friends autistic child after school and on weekends to help supplement our income. My wife is a nanny but is primarily engaged in caring for Julia. 
However, we are in need of funds to pay past medical bills and to provide the best ongoing medical care, and environment so that Julia can reach her full potential.  Thank you very much for any amount that you may choose to contribute.
