"If we could look into each other's hearts and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance and care."
-- Marvin J. Ashton

If you've ever been around, or have had the pleasure to meet Matt and Julia you'll see/feel a difference in their love. They are the grotesquely cute, 'madly in love' type of couple. If you get a chance to hang out with them, you'll know what I'm talking about. They complete each other in a way that makes you have hope in the word "love".

They knew from the moment that they fell in love they wanted to grow a family together. Unfortunately, this has become much more challenging than they ever anticipated.

Many of you are aware Julia has undergone many medical challenges and obstacles in the last few years (Lupus being a major culprit). Their hopes and dreams of starting a family were beginning to look quite dim. Knowing the extreme difficulties and low chances of conceiving they choose to keep hope... and try. Finally a positive pregnancy test, their dreams were finally coming true... They were going to have a baby! Names were picked out, and a nursery under way, the excitement was hard to contain.

Sadly, things took a much darker turn. Two weeks ago Julia reached out to me in a panic, she was bleeding a lot, and figured she was going to miscarry. Because of Julia's history of health concerns they rushed to the hospital. After extensive testing, and many visits (days of hope, and hopelessness)... Matt and Julia learned she was one of the less than 0.1% of women who has an endocervical canal ectopic pregnancy.

This was now an extremely dangerous situation. Many specialists were involved in this case because of the severity, and rareness of it all. They’ve already experienced so much loss, and yet aren’t even out of the woods. There is no longer a fetal heartbeat, yet there is so much more that needs to be done to keep Julia safe.

They are still in survival mode, and they are trying to heal. Ontop of all of this they are now hit with extreme financial burdens.

You were invited here on behalf of our dearest Matt & Julia Smith to humbly ask for help during this extremely difficult time. As they navigate these next steps please know that any amount you can give is greatly appreciated.
