For years, I have been silently battling endometriosis - a disease that has completely changed my life in ways I never imagined. What started as painful periods has turned into something far more severe, affecting my ability to function almost everyday.

I had major excision surgery in May of last year in hopes of finally getting relief, but my journey hasn’t ended there. I am now facing nerve compression and entrapment, and severe pelvic pain leaving me stuck in the house/bed for days at a time. The pain can be unbearable, accompanied by extreme fatigue, nausea, and symptoms that make even the simplest tasks feel impossible. It’s exhausting, isolating, and honestly it's scary.

There is a treatment option that offers me some hope. A specialized series of ultrasound guided pelvic injections using anti-inflammatories and herbal medications. This treatment has shown incredible results for patients like me after excision surgery. Unfortunately, it is not available in Canada, and I would need to travel to Houston, Texas to receive it.

The cost for the 6-week treatment is approximately $10,000CDN, not including travel, accommodations, and basic living expenses while I’m there. It’s a significant financial burden, but it’s also a chance at getting my life back.
