Juggling for POTS

Donation protected
On 30 October 2024, I'm going to complete 30 JUGGLES to raise money in aid of THE AUSTRALIAN POTS FOUNDATION LTD and every donation will help. By the way, I'm not very good at juggling, so I'm going to have to work pretty hard to get to 30 (with zero drops).

Why juggling?
Earlier this year, I decided to teach myself to juggle and share the process on social media. I was feeling pretty good, in general, and felt the medication I was on for POTS was doing a great job...until we discovered my blood pressure was sitting at 180/120. I had to come off the meds. As soon as I started weaning off, my POTS symptoms began to creep back in, and the juggling began to get harder and harder. All I wanted to do was practise my juggling, but my POTS wouldn't let me. So I decided to share that on social media instead. And that led me to THE AUSTRALIAN POTS FOUNDATION.

Why 30 Juggles on 30 October?
Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) is the most common dysautonomia. It’s characterized by symptoms in multiple organ systems and an abnormal increase in heart rate upon standing - 30 beats per minute (at a minimum). Dysautonomia is an umbrella term used to describe any disorder of the autonomic nervous system and October is Dysautonomia awareness month.

I will need to continue to practise my juggling if I aim to get to 30 juggles - my current maximum is 12. 30 juggles means, I need to be able to complete 30 successful throws and catches without stopping or dropping my 3 juggling balls.
If you would like to follow the juggling, you can on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/emmalouisewilson53/
I might have to go live on 30 Oct, to see if I can achieve my goal.

Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
If you can't contribute financially, please spread awareness about POTS, either by sharing POTS related content on the socials or talking to your friends and community. My personal goal is to have ALL GPs do Orthostatic testing as routine, on ALL patients who present to them with "anxiety" type symptoms.
