Judys Emergency Surgery
Donation protected
Hi all, my name is Elizabeth Elliott-Nabarro and I am raising money for my dogs surgery. This is Judy, she's 13 years and 1 month, and in early hours of 12/12/24, she made her way into my bedroom and ate a bowl of chicken wings from my desk. I was certain the door was shut, however I was wrong and take full responsibility for this.
We have called the vets and taken her immediately, and after sedation and an x-ray, it's been decided that she needs emergency surgery as she swallowed the wings whole, and could be fatal if they go into her intestines.
From the initial sedation for the x-ray, to surgery and everything in between, the total has come roughly to £5.4k. I am a full time student with a part time job working minimum wage, and my mother works 5 days a week as a waitress, so she doesn't make much money, and my brother is unemployed.
Some context about Judy: she was adopted by my father when she was 7-8 years old from Batttersea Dogs and Cats Home. She is one of the last things I have that connect me to my father as she was his last dog before he passed in 2020. Other than this incident, she is a healthy, happy girl. She loves walkies and playing with her ball, and unless it's super strong, she will shred apart any toy that we get her. We all love her to bits and would be absolutely heartbroken if anything were to happen to her.
Again, this is wholeheartedly my fault, as I should have ensured that my door was shut or the food was out of reach, but the amount is not affordable for my mother and I and my family.
If anyone could donate I will be forever grateful. Any money my family has or will spend, I have full intentions to pay back, but any help would do a world of help.
Thank you all.
