Judy's COBRA Insurance Payments

Dear Family and Friends,
As you probably have heard, Judy spent much of January, February and March in the hospital and then in rehabilitation following a fall. The fall came about because Judy has nerve damage from a chronic vitamin/mineral deficiency. The nerve damage is in much of her body but especially feet and legs. It has also affected her vision. Judy is home now and is getting around in a wheelchair and receives physical therapy and home health care. Judy had 3 months medical and family leave, but that expired and she had to face the fact that she cannot go back to work. Victoria, luckily, is able to work from home and so has become Judy's primary caregiver.
Judy has applied for Social Security disability but there will be six months minimum before this is processed and she will then receive SS disability and Medicaid. For the interval until that health coverage is available to her it is necessary for her to continue to use her previous health insurance, which means she will be making COBRA payments. This amounts to $950 a month.
This is dire for Judy and her family. Her condition is ongoing. She needs regular medicine, nurse visits, doctor visits and physical therapy. There is not the option to go without medical insurance.
I am setting up this GOFUNDME in order to pay for Judy's health insurance. It is my hope that between family and friends we can cover six months of COBRA payments.
