On Sunday March 4th, 2018, loving mother and wife Judith Weatherhead suffered a massive heart attack at the age of 54. In spite of the efforts of the first responders and a team of doctors, it was decided that her condition was not going to improve. Following her wishes, she was removed from life support on Tuesday, March 6th surrounded by her family.
She left behind her two children, Joshua, (24) and Jennifer, (23) Weatherhead, to continue in the role as primary caretakers of their 54 year old father, John Weatherhead, who suffers from an abnormally severe case of Frontotemporal Dementia.
Due to John's current condition it requires him to be under 24 hour care and supervision. He needs a dedicated caretaker to fulfill his day-to-day needs and to prevent him from causing harm to himself or others. With Judy's passing and the lack of resources at home, Joshua and Jennifer can no longer provide the supervision to ensure his safety.
Because of John's inability to make decisions regarding his care and assets due to his dementia, his son Josh, with the help of an attorney, is fighting to obtain guardianship and conservatorship. This will allow him to make these decisions for John,
All donations will not only go towards funeral costs for Judy and proper placement and care for John, but also medical costs for both, legal fees, and to support their surviving childrens' life at home.
