Remembering Judy Vantrease Kemp

One of the many things Judy enjoyed in life was Cycling and the Nature's Beauty.  She loved to share these experiences with Family and Friends,...it brought her great joy. 

She knew that donating her remains to the University of Iowa Medical School meant there would not be a traditional funeral and asked that we  remember her by building and placing a Park Bench in an area she enjoyed.  


The family thought that bench would be perfect for people to sit, relax, reflect and take in the grandeur nature has to offer.  Judy had a couple of thoughts on where a bench could go like The Ada Hayden Heritage Park in Ames, The High Trestle Bridge Bike Trail or even Boone, North Carolina in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains close to Appalachian State University.  Judy spent her adult life serving and helping others.  And so it was not a surprise when she came up with the Park Bench idea,...just another typical Judy idea to allow others to enjoy what she had during her life.

We asked that you consider being part of our Remembering Judy Park Bench Memorial in lieu of flowers.

One more chance to help bring joy to others,...just like Judy did every day.
The family will be collecting donations for the next month or so while working out the logistics needed to place the benches.
