Yesterday our family lost its fearless leader. Our grandmother passed away leaving behind so many who loved her. She had the most loving soul and was the lone matriarch of the Taylor clan who dedicated her life to making sure her family was taken care of. She was not only our support system; she was nurturing and a unifying force for our family - she always put others first and provided a warm meal, a place of shelter and a kind heart to anyone in need. Mamaw was the lifelong caretaker and guardian of her 14 year old grandson, Christopher, who she has left behind and will now be in the care of my sister, Tiffany Taylor. This is an unimaginable loss for him as he will now be forced to navigate his teenage years and high school without Mamaw's support and care. Going through young adulthood isn't easy for anyone, but to suffer a tragic loss while trying to do so is especially heartbreaking and difficult.
