Hello, and thank you for visiting this page today. My name is Angel Izard. I am humbly asking for help for my sister, Judy Izard.
I beg you to read my sister’s story, and consider donating to help her and her family in this time of need. Thank you so much in advance.
Judy served in the Army National Guard for 28 years, and is a veteran of Afghanistan. She is the sweetest person you’ll ever meet. She’s a loving mother, wife, daughter and sister.
Sadly, Judy’s doctors have discovered a large mass growing inside of her that requires major surgery in order to be removed. There are also two other smaller masses that may have to be removed as well. This is going to require her to be out of work for some time to recover.
She has already missed a lot of work due to her doctor appointments, and her copays and doctor bills are adding up. She has already used up her savings due to this issue. Additionally, she will have to pay for the more testing, surgical costs, hospital stay, and prescription copays
On top of the medical expenses, Judy is also dealing with another major financial issue. As a member of the Armed Forces, Judy was supposed to be able to take advantage of the GI Bill to help pay for any schooling she might want. Judy had been planning on passing the funds onto her daughter. However, when Judy reached out to get the Bill funds transferred to her daughter, she was told that she needed to have requested that before she retired from the military.
Unfortunately, this is not something that Judy was made aware of before she retired. Had she known, she would have, of course, made the simple request. We reached out to her local, state, and congressional representatives, and no one was able to assist her. Now, Judy is dealing with being unable to help pay for her daughter’s college, a large expense that was wholly unexpected, on top of a major medical issue, which she can not afford.
And finally, Judy runs her own small business, and due to the surgery and recovery, she will have to pay someone to cover for her while she is out.
Judy has been hit with hard times, and I’m hoping we can come together and help her. I humbly and respectfully ask that you assist us in helping her in any way you can. She needs help paying for testing, surgery costs, hospital stay, and prescription copays.
Judy is a veteran. She has served her country with honor, and now she is just asking for a little help.
