I don't know a person Covid hasn't impacted, but it's been exceptionally challenging for our sister Judy. In 2020 she lost wages at her salon and was forced to relinquish her storefront. The landlord then proceeded with a lawsuit against her. Judy has taken more precautions than most in preventing getting Covid. She was one of the first to get vaccinated and always wears a mask. However, this week she became ill and tested positive for Covid. She has self-quarantined herself at a hotel to ensure no one else catches Covid from her. Once again, she will be without wages. Last month she tore her meniscus in her knee and still worked while in pain so she can continue to pay her bills. She will need surgery next month and will again be out of work for 3 weeks.
