A kidney for Mike

I am Aja Ward, the daughter of Mike Ward. On January 11, 2012 my dad was involved in a traumatizing electrocution at work that changed his entire life. The doctors told him that they were surprised he was alive and that he is a walking miracle ( which he is). I remember the doctors telling him he would never be able to function on his own. After the electrocution my dad was going to the shepherd center to learn how to properly speak and complete day to day tasks again. The electrocution bought on many health issues such as cognitive issues, seizures, nerve issues, congestive  heart failure and other issues that doctors can’t find the answers to. He’s been through multiple surgeries; gallbladder removal, getting a defibrillator and many other procedures. Mike began his first treatment of dialysis on December 31, 2019 and now he does it 4 days a week. For the last few months we have been visiting different medical centers to speak with doctors about kidney transplants and also a pancreas transplant since he is also a diabetic.  A kidney transplant for my dad would help lift some weight off his shoulders. As many people know kidney transplants are a long and expensive process which is why we’re starting now.

Thank you for taking the time to read my Dad's story and Thank you for your kind donation. Any amount can make a difference!!

Also, if donating a kidney is something you would like to consider, I would be more than happy to speak with you and so will my dad to determine if you will be a good match.  My dad needs a life saving kidney transplant!

Thank you !
