Judith's Kidney Transplant

If you have visited our family in either Singapore or Tokyo, you will have had the pleasure of meeting Judith, our nanny. Judith does an amazing job juggling 3 kids, a dog and busy life of working parents. Judith is a mum herself and has single-handedly raised her boys through tertiary education. To say she works hard is an understatement!
Judith now needs our HELP. In June last year Judith was diagnosed with having chronic kidney failure and was advised with no medical intervention she had one month to live and this was a scary moment for all of us. After spending six week in hospital Judith commenced peritoneal dialysis and has been diligently taking excellent care of her body. But as you may know, dialysis has a short shelf life (no longer than 5 years) and she now needs a kidney transplant.
Judith's kind and generous sister Jenne has offered her kidney and they have already begun the matching process of many tests and procedures for the transplant to happen in November 2019. While the Japanese health system is very supportive, Judith has recently found out that due to a blood transfusion while giving birth to her son (22 years ago) this has created many anti-bodies in her blood which brings complexity to the match with Jenne's kidney. The doctors have advised that the match can continue but Judith will require three additional procedures that will cost JPY1,000,000 (AUD$12,000).
Judith is asking for your donation to help pay for this out of pocket procedure to ensure her kidney transplant can proceed without complication.
