The world lost an amazing person this morning. Judi Parsons was one of the absolutely most beautiful, most amazing women to ever walk this earth. I first met Judi when I had Toyia as a sweet 6th grader. In my years as a teacher, I went on to have several more of the Bradley kids, and then was blessed to work with Tony Parsons, and continued to see Judi over the years when we both had kids at the same elementary school. I have been blessed to continue to stay connected with Judi and many of her children. EVERY single time I saw Judi, she had a pep in her step, a smile on her face, and a warm hug for me. We always had long conversations and they always came back to alllll of her kiddos. Judi gave her life to caring for children, fostering over 100 children, adopting at least 16.
One of Judi's fights over the past few years has been her heart. Recently, Judi was moved to the top of the transplant list and then was gifted a heart last week. Unfortunately, Judi's body was unable to recover and she passed away this morning.
Toyia, Judi's 29 year old daughter, will be helping with many of the upcoming family duties and care, including a huge, new financial responsibility while she is raising her own infant son and working to raise and support her siblings. Judi still has several kids who rely on her. Please donate if possible. If not, please share.
If you are interested in more of Judi's story, here is an article dated 2007. This was the same time when they were featured in People Magazine, on Good Morning America and some popular talk shows, including Montel Williams.
To say Judi was an amazing human is an understatement. Let's show her the love and care that she has shown so many over the years. She will be missed more than words can express.
