Hello family & friends-
As you may have heard by now, my little sister Judie (fondly known as Ju Ju Bee) was misdiagnosed with pneumonia and sent home with a steroid prescription. She became worse a few days later, so a friend took her to St. Vincent hospital in Portland. She landed up in ICU, and it took another week to get to the bottom of the problem; Judie needs a heart transplant as soon as possible.
You may imagine our shock in receiving this diagnosis, as Judie is under 55– and very young at heart. As it turns out, they don't hand out hearts to everyone; it has taken several days of sophisticated tests (interviews, prayers, and stacks of paperwork) to determine if Judie is a good candidate for the transplant program.
Yesterday (2-22-22), we learned that Judie was accepted; yet now the hard part begins. It will cost a staggering amount of money to see her through the wait for a heart, not to mention recovery, so we are calling all Angels to get her through the 1st phase.
Most of you know that Judie has spent her entire life providing loving care to our elderly and forgotten human beings; now, it's our chance to give some of that love back to her.
Please do what you can– and thank you!
