Help Judah Kick Cancer's Butt #teamjudah

Donation protected
On June 12th, our 2 yr old grandson, Judah was taken to the doctor after just visiting on the 11th for a bad ear infection. This time he was having pain in his left leg, a little swelling, and refused to walk. The doctor immediately sent them to the ER.

In the ER Judah underwent several tests and exams. The doctors explained many possibilities for the findings, and one of them included something no parent ever wants to hear. Judah was admitted to the hospital, and underwent some intense procedures to determine the sole diagnosis.

Just over 24 hours after arriving to the hospital, it was confirmed...Judah was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia or ALL. This is a type of blood cancer that comes on quickly and grows fast. With ALL, there are too many immature white blood cells, and so it affects your ability to fight infection. Judah began receiving chemo immediately.

Judah is precious, and easy to love. He likes to read books, play with cars, and anything to do with PJ Masks. He is all boy, and has a smile that lights up a room. He is special. He is strong. He is a fighter, and he WILL kick cancer's butt.

That said, there will be many, many medical expenses incurred for Judah's treatment over the next couple of years. Even with their insurance, bills could reach up to $10,000 in just the next few months. That amount doesn't include travel expenses to and from the hospital at least once a week, more if issues arise. Additionally, Judah's mom, Maritza, is currently not able to return to work. She has to be home with Judah as they begin the healing process. So while the costs increase, their income will decrease.

We all know how stressful financial burdens can be---on a family and on a marriage. My goal is for Spencer and Maritza to only focus on Judah and his recovery. For 2 young parents, this process will be intense. By providing them with monetary support,  we can help alleviate worries as the bills begin piling up.

We do understand that not everyone can give financially. Please know that prayers for Judah and his family are just as significant, and appreciated deeply. You should also know, that Spencer, Maritza and their families remain optimistic and positive. We trust that God is in control, and will provide for this family in many ways including total healing in Judah's little body. We are standing strong together, and are grateful to everyone that is standing with us.

I cannot express how thankful we are for the outpouring of love and support we have received so far. Please continue to pray. We know that our little superhero, Judah, will come out of this stronger than ever before!!!

Much love and sincerest thanks to each one of you.
