Judah was born with a congenital heart disease called Tetralogy of Fallot. It breaks our hearts to see our 5 month old baby going through this but we believe with God all things are possible and that he has a purpose for his life. Judah is scheduled for open heart surgery Wednesday September 26th 2018. Because he was born with a hole in his heart and his pulmonary valve too small they will be putting a patch in place to seal up the hole and open up the valve so his blood can flow properly. It has been very tough on our family having to go to so many doctors appointments. I cannot work I stay with him because he cannot cry or be under duress because it can cause him to have a heart attack so I cannot put him in daycare. He has had what they call Tet spells which cause him to turn purple when crying due to deoxygenated blood flowing the wrong direction and lack of oxygen and are very dangerous. He has to be monitored closely. It's been tough for my husband through all of this because he wants to be there for his son. He has actually been harrassed by an employer who didn't believe we were going to doctors appointments and had to take a picture of himself in the doctor's office for proof all to end up still losing his job. He also lost a previous job he had just gotten hired at right after he told them about our sons condition and that he would need some time off for his surgery they fired him during his lunch break. It's been a shocking experience to see how unempathetic some employers can be. We are asking for help to cover a few bills during the surgery and recovery so we can focus on being there and supporting our son. Please keep our family in your prayers!
