This scholarship fund is created in loving memory of Juanita U. Cannon, who dedicated over 40 years of her life as a teacher, principal, and community leader in the Knoxville, Tennessee area. Her passion for education and her commitment to her students left a lasting impact on countless lives. As we mourn her passing, our family wishes to celebrate her legacy in a way that continues her life’s work.
In lieu of sending flowers or gifts, we are asking friends, family, and community members to send their condolences by donating to the Juanita U. Cannon Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund will provide annual scholarships to undergraduate or graduate students who will become our next generation of educators. Recipients will be selected each summer for the upcoming fall semester and must have a GPA of 2.8 or higher, a demonstrated commitment to education, and complete an essay about their passion for teaching and how they are currently impacting their community.
Your support will help future educators achieve their dreams and carry forward the values that Ms. Cannon held dear. We invite you to honor her memory by making a donation to this scholarship fund, ensuring that her spirit of service and love for learning continues to live on.
