- Hi, this is Juanita Pena. After being on dialysis for seven grueling years, God has answered her prayers by blessing her with a kidney donor. Juanita and her husband Andy got the long-awaited call on Friday, September 10, 2021. That same evening Juanita had a kidney transplant at Methodist Hospital Specialty Transplant in San Antonio, Tx. Her body has accepted the kidney, and for this we thank God. She was in the hospital for a week and released the following Friday September 17, 2021. Unfortunately she was re-admitted on Monday September 20, 2021 after feeling nauseous and running a fever. She is currently still hospitalized in San Antonio. During this time her husband Andy Pena has been by her side and he has not been able to go back to work. We are asking our families and friends for their help during this stressful time for help with medical expenses. We can ease their worries by helping with Dr. bills, hospital stays, hotel stays, expensive medications that she will have to continue for the rest of her life, travel expenses, and as usual all monthly payments. Any amount of donation will help. Juanita and Andy would like to thank everyone in advance for all the love and support we can show them. They also want to ask for continued prayers for a healthy recovery.
