I am fundraising on behalf of Juanita Ortega Herrera, contractor as a custodian at Brentwood High School (BHS), TN, where I teach. Her salary meets her shelter and basic needs and that of her young family. She is periodically in great pain and needs surgery. a laparoscopic cholecystectomy, to correct her affliction. As a contractor, she does not have health benefits, and she cannot afford personal health insurance. Her attending physician is asking for the payment in advance for the amount of this fundraiser. Juanita is a dedicated worker, helps keep our school tidy, and always in good spirit. I agreed to fundraise on her behalf.
