As most of you are aware, we tragically lost my brother Juan “Dee” Ortiz on Monday June 15, 2020.

What words can be said to make this better, we can't think of any so we are left with actions that can have us feel like we can do something to help support this family in a time of emotional pain. We have created this page for individuals to leave their memories and contribute to a fund for his family he leaves behind, Hilda Torres, and sons, Jaiden, and Justin.

Every person who knew Dee was touched by him.  He was a best friend to anyone he's crossed paths with: As, a devoted employee, son, brother, friend and father, he has made an incredible impact on the lives of so many. For his family, there was no better dad and provider.  For his friends, there was no better person to create witty nicknames for and his sarcasm never provided a dull moment.

We ask that you give generously to support his family.  Supporting them helps each of us carry on his legacy through school and in life.  We realize that offering financial support to the family during such unprecedent times may be difficult for some. Please know that any amount is appreciated tremendously as we work closer to reaching our fundraising goal. Funds raised will be used as follows:

 

First $50,000: medical bills and other misc. immediate cost of living expenses
Second $50,000 to cover educational aspirations for son Jaiden
Third $50,000 to cover educational aspirations for son Justin

Due to COVID-we were regrettably unable to hold a service that would accommodate the large mass of friends and family.
