Hi, my name is Juan, my wife is Alexis and we are currently 30 weeks pregnant. Our little boy Juan Manuel Rivera Jr. was diagnosed with a heart defect at 20 weeks of pregnancy. The doctors have told us he has a congenital heart defect called HLHS. It is very severe due to both his left atrium and left ventricle being very, very small. He is going to need multiple heart surgeries to give him a chance at life. We are living in Ingleside, TX, but doctors here at Driscoll in Corpus Christi, TX have decided it is a better option for us to deliver in Houston, TX at Texas Childrens Hospital due to the better palliative care he will receive. My wife, Alexis, will be relocating to Houston, TX per doctors requests at about 36 weeks and will stay there for about 6-7 months until our little boy has completeted his first two open heart surgeries. We are creating this go fund me page so if anyone can find it in their heart to help us with any type of support, it would be greatly appreciated.
