Juan Carlos post-brain surgery recovery

Hello, my name is Steven Favuzzi, and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my friend’s story. My best friend Juan Carlos Romay is having surgery to remove a tumor on his brain for the second time in less than 2 years.

In January 2022 he was experiencing a headache and after some convincing by his fiancé to get it checked out, the doctors found a tumor in his frontal lobe that needed to be removed immediately. He continued to go through 6 weeks of radiation treatment followed by a year of chemo pills. All testing his mental and physical strength, but he made it through and I am so grateful and lucky he was able to stand by my, and his best friends Alex, side this year at both our weddings. Now, after a routine scan checkup they found a small tumor has grown back. Today, October 18, 2023, Juan Carlos is back in surgery to remove what has come back in the frontal lobe of his brain.

Any money donated will be used to help him pay for his medical bills and other expenses as we are hoping and ready for another strong recovery!!

For anyone that knows Juan Carlos like me, he has always been a guy living a healthy full lifestyle, from working out everyday, hiking, biking, spending his free time with friends, adventurous day trips with his fiancé, working on cars, while working full time, putting work into his own house, and now planning a wedding. To be going through something so unexpected, that’s not only testing his mental strength but also his physical strength while still doing all the things he loves, I, along with my wife, Lucia, would like to do anything we can to lighten the load on him and his fiancé Jaclyn. Since I can’t physically go into surgery for him this time, I want to do everything I can to support him, as we all know health insurance doesn’t cover everything.
