On the morning of May 20th, 2017, my father, Juan Carlos Olivarez, was a victim to gun violence in the city of Chicago. He was just a hard working, innocent man, trying to provide for his 5 sons. He had recently became a grandfather to 2 beautiful baby girls who he loved with all his heart. He was never known to turn down a favor to those in need of help. He brought joy to all of his friends, family, and loved ones. He was known to bring laughter to any room he entered. He was like father to all of his neices and nephews. Friends, family, and loved ones.
