Ernest "Jack" Kaiawe - Memorial

Donation protected
Aloha,

My name is Damien and I am trying to help a family here in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. They are a very down to earth family, who would take the shirt off their back for you, even if they did not have it. Jack, their Father and Grandfather recently passed due to Cancer.  The mother is a single mother who is raising 3 beautiful girls. She lost her mother and was taking care of her dad, plus the 3 girls. They are in need of some ALOHA! Currently there is no money for any type of service, memorial, burial plot, coffin, cremation. There is no life insurance or any type of savings, due to all of the medical bills. I am asking friends, family and others to show the ALOHA to help the family in their time of need. Please, share on your Facebook Page and spread the word. Mahalo in advance for all your support and Prayers. (Below is about Uncle Jack and the life he led. Please, take the time and read as it was written by his Daughter Jackie. )

Jack, was one of the most humblest man you would have ever met in Kona. He lived the life of a family man. No matter how much he himself was struggling he would do anything in his power to help others before himself. Growing up he started his life young living with family memebers. He enjoyed ranching, hunting, diving and fishing. He played many roles in peoples lives, from being a loving father, grandfather, brother and just Uncle Jack to everyone else in town. He was known for his diving skills and great stories. If you were ever to sit down with him you would hear numerous stories about diving whether you wanted to hear it or not. You always knew it was time for a story, when he said " When I was your age . " You would never complain, it was always joyful times talking to him hearing about the rough times to the best of times. Once you would hear his laugh you would feel all the happiness that he felt. His smile toothless and all would be stamped in your memory for a lifetime. Jack, lived be his own standards to always love one another no matter how hard it gets, to be there for each other, never show weakness and most of all family is always first.
Growing up, he never showed any pain, no matter how hard it got. He would always say " Why cry you are still alive. " As age caught up to him everything started to slow down, he kept himself going by telling stories, making hand made fish nets and raising his grandchildren.
May of 2014 Jack was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. He was given less than 5 Months to live. But, because of his stubborn ways he fought as he knew he could out do anything. He said he would make it past the New Year and that he did. January 4th 2015,
Ernest " Jack " Ka' uwilaokalani Kaiawe went home. He is now resting peacefully.
