Help Us Fight for My Brother's Future
Donation protected
Hello to all our family, friends, and community,
A year ago, my father was murdered by the cartel in Mexico. His case went unsolved and completely ignored. This shattered our family and took a huge toll on my brother’s mental health, as well as the rest of us. We all turned to drinking, trying to cope with the pain and loss that has haunted us ever since.
One evening, we were celebrating my cousin’s 18th birthday with a small family get-together. That night, my brother drank past his limit. When he got home, he suffered a full mental breakdown. We tried to calm him, but it was like he wasn’t himself. I couldn’t recognize his actions or the words coming from his mouth. He was overwhelmed with so much rage, heartbreak, and pain.
But that’s not who my brother is. The brother I know is the sweetest, most loving man in my life. As a kid, he would cry if he woke up late for school. When my parents would fight, my brother, just a little boy, would stand between them to shield my mom from my father’s abuse. When I went through my first heartbreak, he stayed up with me every night, comforting me while we rewatched Coraline for the 500th time and shared food I brought home from my fast food job.
If you knew him from school or soccer teams growing up, you know he’s always been the funny guy with the huge heart.
But the night of his breakdown, our local law enforcement didn’t see his pain. They didn’t see the man who needed help. They treated him like an animal, or as they called him, an “alien,” ignoring every sign that he was suffering.
Now, my brother is facing deportation to a country that is not safe for him, especially after our father’s murder. He is being ripped away from his son, his home, and the only life he has ever known.
He started working at just 14 years old, building everything he has through hard work, sacrifice, and love for his family.
We are heartbroken and desperate, and we are asking for your help.
Any amount you can donate helps us cover his bond and legal defense to bring him home where he belongs. Please donate, share, or keep our family in your prayers.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
