Victory for Victoria

On November 20, 2024, the Reddy family’s world was turned upside down. Victoria—a devoted wife, mother of three little boys, and the heartbeat of her family—was diagnosed with Stage 3a triple negative breast cancer. The joyful anticipation of the upcoming holiday season shifted to a whirlwind of hospital visits and tests to develop an aggressive treatment plan.

Her MRI revealed a main tumor surrounded by 10-15 satellite sites, along with five cancerous lymph nodes. As her surgeon described it, it was like a shotgun blast with scattered pellets of cancer. Thankfully, her CT scan showed that the cancer had not spread to her organs or bones—a small but profound blessing in the midst of uncertainty. Plans were quickly put in place for Victoria to begin chemotherapy immediately, as the cancer is aggressive and fast-growing. On December 12, she had a port placed to receive six months of chemotherapy treatments, followed by a double mastectomy, radiation, and potentially additional rounds of chemo.

Victoria’s courage through this journey is nothing short of extraordinary. Even while facing the unimaginable, she continues to pour love and energy into her family. As the sole provider, she works tirelessly to support her husband, Colin, who stays home to care for their three boys: five-year-old twins, Grey and Gable, and six-month-old baby Henry, whom they welcomed with joy earlier this year. Her deep love for her family is evident in the way she plans ahead, creating a chemo-friendly craft list filled with activities she can enjoy with her boys, even on her most challenging days.
