Whats up? I'm Ryan and here's my little story.
2 months ago I was a hard working man in a committed relationship, living with my girlfriend, and hoping to start a family soon. Things were okay.
Then a day later, I was homeless, jobless, without a car, and with no resources. It was a HARD breakup. Not a bad one. No violence or anything crazy happened besides the fact that I was *technically* illegally evicted and not given any sort of time to gather my things or move on to a safe and secure next step for me. Imagine living with your partner for 3 years and then... boom... homeless. Fun times.
Thats where I am in life right now.
But whatever.. I'm not complaining about THAT or how the breakup went. Thats life. I deal with life....
WHATS MY REAL ISSUE THEN?
Well with some prayers and help from friends, I landed a new gig and was able to buy a used car within the month. Being homeless isnt that bad in the summer as long as you're working and can move around. I'm greatful for what I do have.
If it matters, I work as a care provider for autistic and MRD adults. We do a lot of community stuff. I NEED my car to take folks to doctors appointments and things like that. I can't just get dropped off at work then go home. Driving is half my job duty.
So why havent I worked in 2 days? Why not drive lyft all day.....well.... my fuel pump went bad 25 days after i bouggt my car "AS IS" from a dealership.
I got hosed. Sold a lemon. So here we are. Lets make lemonade, shall we??
I have a car note, insurance, car repairs, and NO way to work unless I repair the car first aaaaaand if thats not bad enough, due to a clerical error, the company I work for only paid me $240 after 2 weeks of full time employment in the United States of America. That's not even a realistic oversight...
The dealership that sold me my little lemon has not given me the papers to get my plates and registration. I disnt know you had to wait a mo th to regjstee your car. I TOLD the saleperson i was trying to drive lyft/uber with this car. Its been 5 weeks and the BMV says I have to wait for the cars info to arrive before they can process my plates.
I cant eveb sign up to drive uber or lyft without those plates. So that'lltake ANOTHER week. And my temp tags go bad in 7 days.
MEANWHILE Ive been waiting 3 days for a call back from the HR department at my gig about my wages. I'm typing this from the repair shop I just dropped my car off at. I have nowhere else to go. I should be at work right now. Man I'm stressed.
I only have enough cash on hand for 2 tacos and to pay for the car diagnostics so that they can tell me how much more repairing my car will cost.
Car note is due in 7 days.
I kinda need some help and I dont even know how much help I'll need.
