Helping Hands for a Family in Mourning

Just recently went through the death of my wife and my boys' mom.

Pearl was a wonderful mother to our boys and my soulmate.

She worked in childcare as we built our family for almost 20 years..

Sadly Pearl left me and our boys about 7 years ago and was struggling with addiction.

Pearl passed away from a drug overdose sometime in the last month and her body was not found till after Mothers Day.

Heartbreaking for me and the boys as we never got to see her alive and or say goodbye.

We loved her despite her addiction and just wanted her to get her life back on track for her 4 boys and now 4 grandkids which she never met..

I took time off work to be with family. I tried to apply for PMFLA and was told they don't cover the death of a family member. And my company choose nit to help with any PTO.

This unfortunately put me several weeks behind on my bills and rent.

I went back to work without fully taking care of myself and my kids.

Anything helps to get us back on track.
