El Gallo Farm is working to recover from the recent flooding in Skagit Valley, which devastated acres of fields where they grow a variety of vegetables, and took the lives of the animals which weren’t able to be evacuated from their farm, including 80 chickens. The flooding also caused damage to their fencing, and during the strong winds that followed, the roof for their animal shelter was blown away, leaving remaining animals vulnerable to the elements and at risk of wandering. In spite of all of these difficulties, El Gallo Farm has expressed gratitude and optimism due to community support such as SAIN emergency feed donations, and is looking forward to rebuilding for the next season, and continuing to provide high-quality local produce to our community. The $5,000 that El Gallo is hoping to raise will go toward restoring their fields and making repairs around the farm (including fencing and a new roof for the animal enclosure).

La granja El Gallo se está recuperando de las recientes inundaciones en el valle de Skagit, que devastaron los campos donde cultivan una variedad de verduras y causaron la muerte de los animales que no pudieron ser evacuados, incluyendo 80 gallinas.
