Support Bryan's Heart Surgery Recovery
Donation protected
On Friday, March 14, 2025, Bryan had a heart attack. After spending the night at Millinocket Regional Hospital, he was transported to Eastern Maine Medical Center for further testing. On Monday, he had an echo and heart catheterization to assess for damage and the cause of the heart attack. Thankfully, he didn’t have any damage to his heart. However, it was discovered that the main artery of his heart had a 99% blockage as well as two other blockages of 40-60%. It was determined that he would need to undergo bypass surgery on Thursday, March 20th.
The surgery went really well and Bryan is now in recovery. He is in the CCU and will be moved to a regular room soon.
Bryan has lived in Patten for over 30 years and has been a pillar of the community. In that time, he has organized fundraisers, spaghetti dinners, and events. He has volunteered for school functions, even long after all his children had graduated. If someone asked for help, whether it be for something big or small, he was always there to lend a hand. Now, he is the one in need.
Bryan would never ask for support for himself, although he is always willing to give it to others. We are asking, if you are able, to contribute to this fund in order to ease the financial burden that will come from the surgery and recovery. It will also help cover transportation costs between Patten and Bangor for his wife, Julie, while he is in the hospital.
Thank you for any support you can provide, be it financial or just a message of support, during this challenging time!
